·         Monitor Leo ComfortView (15 p, OSD). I made a Win9x INF driver file for this screen.

·         TV Card Hauppauge WinTV Theater PCI (compatible dolby surround).

·         Motherboard Micro Star MS-6785 (chipset SIS 648 FX).

Les objectifs pour ce nouveau PC étaient : silencieux (échec), CPU+ rapide (pour C+), Disque dur plus grand que 120 Go, plus de blocage lors de lectures video (ex: Divx) sous XP, graveur qui fonctionne sous XP, compatible avec carte Hauppauge possédée.

04/2004 ADSL modem Sagem Fast 800 replaced by WIFI router Netgear DG834G v2.
11/2004 Removed original graphic card Nvidia GeForce 5600 SE (SE for Special Edition ?), 128 Mb, TV output.
06/2005 RAM 512 + 256 Mb (Siemens) replaced by 512 Mb x 2 (Infineon ? + Kingston).
07/2005 Monitor LG Flatron F700B (17p, OSD) replaced by Benq T705.
03/2006 Removed graphic card Mediamax ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 bits.

"No name" sound cards to not buy (1999)

Attention ! : do not buy any of the following sound cards. It's a hell to find drivers for. I recommend sound cards with Aureal chipset or Soundblasters.

1. Sound card PCI : Super Sound Origins PCI 128 (no brand name).

Box picture.
Manufacturer name : Unknown (no name on the box!).
Driver name: "DT0398". CD-Rom inscriptions "DT0398 drivers v2.20 ...".
Official web site : not found (07/1999).
Chipset inscriptions : ?
Finding drivers:
No idea where to find officials !!... (still searching).
Forte Media - FM801 Chipset manufacturer (info find into the INF driver file).
Bought 140 FF 07/1999.

2. Sound card ISA : Super Sound Origins Lite 3D (no brand name).

Box picture.
Manufacturer name : Unknown (no name on the box!).
Driver name: "Diamond Technologies".
Official web site : not found (02/1999).
Chipset inscriptions : don't remenber
Finding drivers:
No idea where to find officials !!... (if you know it, i'm interrested).
This card still works on my 486 (Win95).

3. Sound card ISA : SoundCrown ATC-6631 (no brand name nor address).

Box back picture.
Manufacturer name : Atrend? (no name on the box!).
CD-Rom : SoundCrown, Oct.97, Sound Card driver V1.21
Driver name: don't remember.
Chipset inscriptions : don't remenber
Official real name : Atrend ATC-6631D PnP 3D (no H/W wavetable).

This card still works on my 486 (Win95).

Atrend - Card manufacturer.
Yamaha - Chipset manufacturer (it worked under Win98 FE).

Manufacturer name : Arowana.
Driver name: "ALS 100+". Disk sticker "PRO16PNP+ INSTALLATION".
Official web site : not found (05/1999).
Chipset inscriptions : "Avance Logic, Inc. ALS100Plus+ ..."
Finding drivers:
Comosel - Italian Distributor.
Realtek - Surely the real manufacturer...
This card gone out of order 1 year and 2 months after i bought it (03/1998 110 FF) (still recognized by PC, but no in/out sound any longuer).
I had a bad time finding latests drivers (Win98) for this card.
